usic has existed since the advent of time. People have always sung songs, played instruments and danced to the tunes and rhythms produced.

Music is a universal language which connects people across all discernible boundaries and speaks to all people across the world. It unifies and allows differences to be set aside.
Young Hearts Africa was born of a love of music and all its positive, healing potential. It is the vehicle by which Young Hearts Africa carries its message to the world and elicits much-needed humanitarian aid to assist the most vulnerable and needy in our society.

Our founder Dr Wilhelm Lichtenberg, himself a cardiothoracic surgeon, decided to use his voice and his love of music as an instrument of change, to carry the message to the world, for the sake of those most in need.

By blending various established musical styles from around the world and infusing it with our unique, rich African sounds, we always aim to create a cross-cultural genre that tells our unique African story.
