We are excited to invite your school to join our initiative to raise donations for heart operations for children with congenital heart disease. This is an opportunity for your school to make a difference in the lives of children and families in need, while also promoting the Young Hearts Africa work as well as your school’s commitment to social change.

By participating in our initiative, your school joins a community of schools across South Africa who are committed to making a positive impact in our country and on the continent.

The programme is simple – we are asking your school to assist us in raising donations for heart operations for children in need through your parent and pupil network and channel. In return, your school will receive 10% of the donations raised by your school and go into the draw for some great prizes, to support your own sports programme and your other school initiatives.

Our initiative is simple to implement and should be fun for students to get involved in. Ideally we would encourage schools to share the initiative with its full student and parent body and drive donations through our website over a longer period of time, reinforcing our CHD programme, to achieve better traction in donations.

Schools can also choose any sports activity to participate in, whether it’s a rugby match, a school sports day, or a fun run and use that event to drive donations. We encourage schools to get creative with their events and to have fun while making a real difference in the lives of lesser fortunate South African families. We need your help to make this programme a success.
